With the holidays nearly behind us, we're gearing up for a great year in 2012. Surprisingly, around November, many retailers and service providers started taking a little time off... But, the majority of our clients never skipped a beat and worked diligently to insure an easy and productive transition into 2012.
Part of their planning focused primarily on their on-line business-- That meant we were busy with e-commerce website designs and updates for our Tampa retailers providing social media, SEO and website updates for Tampa service providers. Many prepared for upcoming product and price changes. We helped them review, revamp and schedule search engine optimization, social media marketing campaigns and developed website marketing strategies for products and services that they will offer in 2012. Time off? Heck NO. These matters took precedence over just about everything else.
Although we all prioritize in life...and need balance, taking a lot of time off during the holidays, relaxing in the Florida sun on a whim or even being "being present" while burying your head in the sand pretending the tasks that come with owning a business will just "go away"... will be enjoyed at a "price." At some point business owners have to ask "What is my competitor doing that I am not and how is that affecting my overall success? Am I really making my business, my priority?"
When we look at our most successful clients it's always the same ones who are doing whatever they can do within their budgets to obtain and maintain a competitive edge. Whether it's obtaining website design, web updates and website marketing services, or even using cross marketing services that require our graphic design, writing and printing services, these successful business owners are succeeding due in part from planning and initiating their marketing strategies. This requires a bit of "showing up, and making some tough decisions, even when that's the last thing you want to do. Those who wait get left in the dust and often end up playing "catch up." Catch up can be costly. There's certainly some validation to "the early bird theory," I admit.
If you consider a company's revenue is generally calculated in "quarters", who can afford loss in the first quarter of the year? This is especially true for online retailers and service providers. Given that, at the risk of sounding "geeky" we pose the question, "What's in your "Web Store" for the New Year?" We hope it's plenty of goods and services! Be sure to obtain the necessary and appropriate services such as custom web designs, website updates, social media and marketing services that will help you to increase, manage and maintain a competitive edge in 2012.
Make it a great year in 2012 Tampa Bay and enjoy the success you've had in 2011-- If you're experiencing it...it means you've worked hard for it.
